New Sinus Treatment Now Available

Sinuplasty is now available. Good news about a clinically proven, minimally invasive technology for treating chronic sinus inflammation.

A small flexible sinus balloon catheter is placed into the nose to reach the sinuses. The sinus balloon catheter is gradually inflated to gently restructure the previously blocked nasal passage, maintaining the integrity of the sinus lining and restoring normal sinus drainage and function. This technology is performed as an outpatient procedure and usually patients are put to sleep with general anesthesia.

Balloon sinuplasty can be done without removing any tissue or bone, which means minimal bleeding, faster recovery times and less discomfort after the procedure. In most cases many patients are able to return to normal activities within 24 hours and have had significant improvement with their sinus symptoms.

Clinical research has shown that the balloon sinuplasty system is a safe and effective tool in dilating blocked sinuses and has a 96-percent success rate in eligible patients.

If you suffer from chronic sinusitis, and medication alone has not been effective in relieving your symptoms, you may be a candidate for balloon sinuplasty.

I too have heard all the good things about balloon sinuplasty. A friend sent me a YouTube link the other day which made me kinda nauseous but it does look promising.
Wondering if there is anything about effectiveness out there /I guess I will check. Thx
